Dean Harrison set for Sunflower Trophy debut on Silicone Kawasaki

Dean Harrison will make his debut at the Sunflower Trophy meeting at Bishopscourt next weekend on the Silicone Engineering Kawasaki.

The Ulster Grand Prix lap record holder will compete in the Superbike class at the final Irish short circuit meeting of the season.

Harrison has enjoyed a stellar season on the roads, taking victory in the second Supersport race at the Isle of Man TT, where he also finished as the runner-up behind Peter Hickman in a record-breaking Senior race. He also won the Superstock race at the Ulster Grand Prix from Hickman.

The Bradford man, who dominated at the Southern 100 in July and won the Superbike race at the Classic TT in August for the second successive year, will again ride for the Silicone Engineering Kawasaki team in 2019.

Harrison has been using the British Superbike rounds this season to hone his skills for the international road races.

He finished 14th in Saturday’s BSB race in the dry at Brands Hatch in Kent, but failed to finish either race in the wet on Sunday.
