Jonathan Rea will have his second outing on the new Kawasaki ZX-10R at Motorland Aragon in Spain on Monday and Tuesday as the World Superbike champion completes his final test of 2015.
Rea missed the first test at Aragon to be at the birth of his second child but was back in action at Jerez last week and is now eager to make further progress with the Ninja ZX-10R before the winter testing ban kicks on December 1, which runs until mid-way through January.
“I had a great initial impression in Jerez with the new bike. We worked through items on the test list but we have more to test at Motorland,” said Rea.
“I hope the weather will be good for two days here because we need to define some of the new material soon, evaluate it and make sure we have clear conclusions so we can order parts for the January tests.
“It will be another case of working through options and understanding how the bike is working on a different track,” he added.
“At this time year it is a lot cooler than at most races so I hope we get good weather because the window for riding is relatively small and we need to be productive.”
The Ballyclare man dominated the championship this season to become Northern Ireland’s first motorcycling world champion since Joey Dunlop and Brian Reid in 1986.
