Northern Ireland rider Jamie Hamilton’s condition has been described as ‘critical’ following a high-speed crash before the 11th Milestone in the Senior TT on Friday.
The Ballyclare rider came off on the second lap of the race on the Cookstown/BE Racing Suzuki at Burnside on the exit of the fast Cronk-y-voddy straight, causing the race to be stopped.
Hamilton was airlifted to Nobles Hospital and his injuries were described as serious, but not life-threatening on Friday.
He was later transferred to hospital in Liverpool and on Saturday, the latest official Isle of Man TT update said his condition ‘remained critical’.
It is understood the 24-year-old’s mum, Helen, and team boss John Burrows travelled with him to hospital in the UK.
