Nutty Krust title retained by Dromore

Dromore surived a Rainey Old Boys come back to retain the Nutty Krust Undcer-18 title in Portadown on Wednesday night by a 24-21 margin, WRITES RICHARD MULLIGAN.

Tries from Joshua Brane, Michael Watson and Simon Henshaw, all converted by outhalf Aaron Atkinson had Dromore 24-0 ahead.

Rainey pulled a score back just before the break with Neil Hastings crossing and Lorcan Quinn converting.

The second half saw Rainey stage a comeback with talented tighthead prop, Calum Smyth going over twice. Conversions by Quinn brought them within three points.

Rainey dominated those closing stages but Dromore defended stoutly to take the spoils.
