A group of young Lisburn rugby fans got the chance to meet their heros recently.

They took part in the Centra Ulster Rugby Summer Camp School of Excellence at Friends School, Lisburn, where they were able to get hints and tips from Ulster Rugby’s John Andrews, David Shanahan and Angus Lloyd.

Two lucky players Harry Pratt and Rowan Brea, both from Lisburn, even received a special certificate in recognition of their playing skills.

Harry and Rowan, along with all the other participants, received a t-shirt, a water bottle, rugby ball and a voucher to claim a free ticket to an Ulster Game at the Kingspan Stadium.

Ulster Rugby will soon be back in Lisburn for another Summer Camp at Lisburn RFC. It is due to take place from Monday August 1 to Friday August 5 but places are already sold out.

The Summer Camps are taking place at 22 locations across Ulster and will cater to almost 2,000 young players.

The popular junior camps for children aged 6-12 will be held at 12 locations along with two camps tailored specially for Girls’ rugby and a special needs camp in Belfast.
