He has not recovered from the AC Joint injury he sustained during the 24-10 win over Leicester Tigers in the Heineken Champions Cup pool four opener in Belfast last week.

Dave Shanahan will start in the pivotal role in La Defense Arena on Saturday evening and is one of three changes to the team which tops the group after week's success.

Former Irish international, Simon Zebo has been named in the starting line-up for Racing and will go head-to-head with young rising Ulster star, Michael Lowry, at fullback.
