And the racing served up plenty of talking points for the fans after some controversial clashes along the way.

There were plenty of talking points in Round 10 of the PC Paints and Components World Qualifying Series for the National Hot Rods, but Shane Murray managed to avoid all the rough stuff to notch up a perfect hat-trick of wins on his return to the ovals, with Carl Sloan and Mark Heatrick his closest challengers in the feature race.

A splendid entry of nineteen F2 Stock Cars served up some classic track action in Round 2 of their Snap-On Tools Series and just like in the opening round it was Sean McFerran from Portglenone who took the honours once more.

McFerran drove expertly to survive a last bend attack from double heat winner Gavin Fegan and win the drag race to the line,with Fegan forced to settle for second ahead of Sam McKay,

Another driver in good form at the moment is Jason Clyde and the Ballymena based racer extended his impressive run with a third final win on the trot at Raceway in Round 2 of the DNA Tuning Supreme Series for the Stock Rods.

The programme of races at the Buckna Autos sponsored fixture also included the Group Two Lightning Rods and Super Saloons. Meeting sponsor Matthew Curran made off with his own trophy after a dominant win in the GP2 final, while Ballymoney’s Liam Irwin held off a strong challenge from Aaron McGraw to clinch the Super Saloon honours.
