Nathan Carter set for online Antrim fest

We all know what an excellent tonic music can be for mood and wellbeing, and thanks to virtual technology one local festival will be broadcast live from Glenarm Castle featuring performances from stars including Alexandra Burke, Nadine Coyle and country favourite Nathan Carter.

The HOMEFEST ‘Camp Dalfest at Home’ in partnership with Mid & East Antrim Borough Council can be viewed for free online on Saturday, July 18 from 1pm.

A feast of music and created for families, this is Dalfest’s digital response to ensure the spirit of this hugely popular festival is kept alive until it returns next year. It will be a welcome and uplifting treat for many in lockdown.

Host Stephen Mulhern will introduce the headline acts, as well as many other local performers and acts including Dea Matrona, Anna’s Number and Songbirds.

There will be a singalong with children’s TV megastar Justin, bedtime stories with Eamonn Holmes and a garden party with The Sooty Show Live. The evening will culminate with a fireworks display.

Festival director, Nigel Campbell, said: “We are delighted to announce our first digital festival – HOMEFEST ‘Camp Dalfest at Home’ - in partnership with Mid and East Antrim Borough Council. We hope that everyone will join us from the safety of their own home as we broadcast live on a digital channel for the first time ever.
