Stand-ups Sara Pascoe and Kevin McAleer have been confirmed to play the
comedy bill at this year’s Stendhal Festival of Art in Limadvady.

The festival will also feature over 60 musical acts including iconic 1960s songer/songwriter Donovan, DJ Format, Kerbdog, Rainy Boy Sleep and Macka B.

The Limavady festival, which is to be held on August 7 and 8 at Ballymully Cottage Farm, will also feature an appearance by BAFTA winning producer Brian J Falconer for a special screening of his hit short film, Boogaloo and Graham.

Acerbic stand-up Pascoe was nominated for best show at the 2014
Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Awards and winner of
the 2014 Chortle Breakthrough Award. Sara has been working as a comedy actor, sketch performer, improviser and writer since 2006.

The Londoner has featured on feted comedy panel shows including Mock The Week, HIGNFY and 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Co Tryone deadpan surrealist Kevin McAleer came
to prominence on the RTÉ
television show Nighthawks and is known for his three-minute sketches of rustic tales told with faux slow-witted and sometimes paranoic schtick.

Creative director at Stendhal Festival, Ross Parkhill, said: “Sara is a really well known face and a highly respected comic who is all over television at the minute, while Kevin is maybe a bit more well known with older festival goers and will bring a wealth of experience and laughs to the event.

“We can’t wait for everyone to have sore sides from
laughing courtesy of these two.”

Festival goers can also enjoy theatre with a production of The Wooing of Barney McKeown Part Two by the north coast’s Big Telly Theatre Company and the Limavady Drama Club.

There will also be performances by the Echo Echo Dance Company and the Soup Dujour Burlesque Troupe, a craft market and artwork on display across two galleries as well as workshops and puppet shows for children.

Stendhal Festival of Art was recently voted Ireland’s Best Small Festival.
