A hilarious rollercoaster with a dark twist, this is the tender story of one man’s resolve to overcome everything that life has to throw at him.

Featuring outstanding local actor Ciaran Nolan who plays a down-on-his-luck, West Belfast man Sean Doran. Sean hasn’t had the best of luck. He’s been sacked from his job, his girlfriend has left him, taken their child and he’s back living in his mother’s house. If this kid bought a duck, it would drown. Nolan has been described as “genius as the luckless Sean. His performance was wonderfully energetic as he bounced from one character to another.” (Reviews Hub).

Alone with a carryout at the Half Moon Lake, Sean tries to make sense of it all. Over the course of one night, he takes us on a soul-searching journey through life, love and death, via his past, present and future.

Simon Magill, Creative Director at the MAC said: “A story of survival, it’s part of the MAC season exploring mental health that has encompassed both our theatres and galleries. Audiences will enjoy its searing honesty and fierce humour.”
