The seventh annual Belfast City Blues Festival will feature performances from Fermanagh-born rocker Pat McManus, Eastside Blues, singer/songwriter stalwarts and blues kings of the Empire Music Club Rab McCullough and Ken Haddock, the Lee Hedley Band and duo Acoustic Soul.
There will be blues melodies ringing out in some 16 venues across Belfast, with crowds in excess of 10,000 expected to turn out to a string of gigs celebrating Belfast’s thriving blues scene and heritage.
The line-up will take place on June 26-28 and was launched this week at the city’s Hudson Bar.
Festival director Seamie O’Neill said: “Last year the Belfast City Blues Festival attracted over 10,500 people from across Europe and I’m confident that this year is going to be a roaring success, with blues legends such as Pat McManus and Rab McCullough performing.
“This festival, the only one of its kind in Belfast, helps to keep the Belfast blues heritage alive and also gives a platform for the younger generation to perform.”
The festival is sponsored by American Holidays who are giving away a holiday to Memphis and Nashville, with U105 who are broadcast partner for the festival.
