Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody has been busy touring the West Coast of America with a run of intimate solo shows. He is now returning home to the Belfast Waterfront for a solo acoustic performance on December 22.
Commenting about the all-seated gig at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall, most likely to be a sell-out show, on Twitter, Gary confirmed that he was “really looking forward to playing at home”.
Tickets for the gig go on sale on Friday October 16 via the Waterfront Hall box office and Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
Gary, 39, who hails from Bangor, has enjoyed massive success worldwide as frontman, singer and rhythm guitarist with indie rock-group Snow Patrol, whose emotive and anthemic hits have included Chasing Cars, Just Say Yes, Run, and Set Fire to the Third Bar.
Performing alongside fellow Northern Ireland band members Nathan Conolly, Johnny McDaid, Paul Wilson and Jonny Quinn, Snow Patrol are one of Ulster’s most successful musical exports. Lightbody’s run of solo acoustic sets marks a new departure for the star.
