American thrash metal heroes Megadeth will perform alongside heavy metal act Lamb of God (LoG) on a co-headline tour that will also feature guests Children of Bodom and Sylosis arriving at Dublin’s 3Arena on November 9, 2015. Tickets to see Megadeath and Lamb of God - one very heavy night of metal and anarchic lyrics, leather and shattering volumes - go on sale tomorrow (July 24) at 9am via Ticketnaster outlets in what will surely be the Irish metal show of the 2015.

The tour will coincide with the release, later this year, of Megadeth’s 15th Studio album on the Tradecraft/Universal label. Lamb Of God’s blistering new album VII: Sturm und Drang will be released July 24 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment.

Formed in 1983, Megadeth are one of the innovators of the metal genre. The band has sold more than 38 million albums worldwide and released its 14th studio album Super Collider in 2013 via Dave Mustaine’s own Tradecraft label.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of the release of their seminal debut album Killing Is My Business…And Business Is Good!

June 2015 saw Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine pick up the Golden God Award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2015 at London’s Indigo at The O2.

Dave Mustaine said: “Having just finished an amazing record full of high-energy heavy metal with Chris Adler, Kiko Loureiro and David Ellefson, I am excited to announce this tour and see all of the metal fans come out for this one. I literally can’t wait to hit the stage again.”

After headlining the second stage at the Download Festival last month, Virginian metal group Lamb of God return to the UK as co-headliners this November. Hailed by Metal Hammer as “their finest outing in a decade”, Lamb Of God’s new album VII: Sturm und Drang will be released July 24 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment. With three new songs already unveiled, you can now also hear new track Erase This online.

Longtime drummer Chris Adler recently joined the Megadeth ranks as well, so will perform with with both bands for each show.

“It’s been almost a decade since we’ve had the opportunity to tour with Megadeth, and we’re absolutely thrilled to be teaming up with them once again for these very special UK dates,” said LoG’s Mark Morton. “Also appearing will be our good friends and long time co-conspirators Children Of Bodom and Sylosis. If you’re not stoked about this bill, then you very simply do not like heavy metal.”

Finnish heavy metal powerhouse Children Of Bodom are joined by Reading four piece Sylosis whose most recent release has been described as a “raging and triumphant beast of an album” by those in the know at Metal Hammer.
