Thirty-three Holstein bulls catalogued for Kilrea
Sponsored by Grassland Agro, the sale on Tuesday, May 3, will be judged by Roy Cromie from the Dalevalley Herd based in Donegal.
Judging gets underway at 11.00am, and will be followed by the sale at noon.

Hide AdThe catalogue boasts an entry of deep pedigreed bulls from many of the province’s leading herds including: Aghyaran, Bushmills, Cluntagh, Derrydorragh, Drumeil, Glasson, Goldplough, Hollybrook, Inch, Keely, Killane, Majestic, Mullaugher and Prehen.
The bulls on offer range in age from September 2014 to April 2015, and have been vaccinated for BVD.
They are sons of world-leading AI sires such as: Mr Chassity Gold Chip, Genervations Epic, Mr Chassity Colt, O-Man End Story, Rosylane LLC Altabarney, Deangate Tarquin, Champion Altabookel, De-Su BKM McCutchen, Val Bisson Doorman, Amighetti Numero Uno, Genervations Latimer, Rickland Presdestine, Ladys Manor PL Shamrock, Mr Moviestar Mardi Gras, Co-op Bosside Massey, Delaberge Pepper, Mapledowns IGW Atwood, Mr Atwood Brokaw, Borussia, Morcourt Hilton, Gillette Windbrook, Deangate Osbert, De-Su RB Moonray, Texel Beauty Debutant, Seagull Bay Silver, and the NI-bred Laurelhill Classic and Ards Destination.
Mark Stewart said: “The catalogue offers something for everyone, with bulls backed by up to nine generations of VG and EX dams, and PLI values to a top of £526. There are several outcross pedigrees featured, as well as a red and white polled bull from eight generations of EX dams, and one of the first Seagull Bay Silver sons to sell at public auction.”
