Payments for those due to receive benefits and Income Support next week will be paid early, the Department of Communities have confirmed.

Over the St Patrick’s Day Bank Holiday period, the Department for Communities says Northern Ireland recipients will now be paid earlier than scheduled.

The Department said: “Important information: If your normal payment date falls on a Bank Holiday, you will be paid earlier.

“March Bank Holiday: For people with benefit payments due on Tuesday 17 March their payment will be made on Monday 16 March.

“In addition, for people due Income Support payments on Tuesday 17 March, Wednesday 18 March and Thursday 19 March, their payment will also be made on Monday 16 March.”
