BBC Broadcasting House partially evacuated after security alert

BBC Broadcasting House in Belfast has been partially evacuated after the discovery of a suspicious object.

In a Tweet broadcaster William Crawley has said the item has been left near a commentary box to be used for broadcast later.

Also on Twitter a PSNI spokesman said: “Police examining suspicious object on Ormeau Avenue, Belfast. Nearby building evacuated. Traffic diversions in place.”
