Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after woman stabbed in north Belfast

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the report of a woman being stabbed in Belfast on Tuesday evening, January 10th.

In a statement Detective Sergeant McCartan said that a report was made around 10.40pm that a woman had been stabbed in the North Queen Street area.

"The victim suffered lacerations to her legs and was taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries,” added the officer.“A short time later, a man, aged in his twenties, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
