A man was tied up and had a hood placed over his head during a robbery at his home.

Detectives are investigating following the aggravated burglary at an address at Kingsway Court in Dunmurry on Wednesday morning.

Detective Sergeant Corrigan said: “It’s understood that a 28-year-old man was awakened at around 5am by four males standing over him in his bedroom. One of whom had a handgun.

“He was dragged to the living room, cable tied and had a cloth or hood placed over his head. He was then struck with something around the head.

“The intruders made off with cash and the victim’s car, a black Skoda. The victim was subsequently able to free himself.

“The car was subsequently located by police in Glasvey Rise. A burnt out car was also found nearby and we are looking at a possible link between that vehicle and the burglary.

“I am appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact us by calling 101, quoting reference 701 05/08/20.
