Extraordinary pictures emerge of Belfast crash

A car flipped onto its side after a crash on Wednesday night, where it remained balancing as emergency services arrived at the scene.

The vehicle had struck a traffic island on the Glen Road in south-west Belfast.

No police account of what happened was available at time of writing.

One source at the scene said that a man and his dog escaped serious injury in the crash – however, there is no confirmation of any injury details.

Neither the Mater nor the Royal Victoria Hospital could find any record of receiving a patient from a crash matching this description.
