Brass neck of the EU is unbelievable over veterinary drugs issue

A letter from John Mulholland:

It seems incredible that Mr Sefcovic is hailing the EU in allowing veterinary drugs into part of the same country from which they come, namely, the UK!

The brass neck of the EU is unbelievable. Unionists should not believe that the British government are our friends when it comes to the protocol. Unionists will not forget their challenge and opposition in British courts to defend the protocol.

Any unionist that believes this can be sorted out with the diktat of the EU are surely fooling themselves.

In recent days I have been praising Mr Donaldson on his stance against the protocol but like one of the letters in Monday's News Letter I get the feeling that the DUP are starting to talk out of both sides of their mouths. The DUP leadership need to make clear that it is sticking by the seven tests for going back into government.

If the EU and British government try to impose any sort of protocol on the unionist people, support for the Belfast Agreement should be at an end. If there is to be no border between the two countries on the island of Ireland where it should be, then there certainly should be none within the United Kingdom. We voted as one United Kingdom so we should leave as one.

John Mulholland,

Doagh
