News Letter Letters: Landing zone confusion

In Tuesday’s News Letter we had Doug Beattie expounding on the Protocol (UUP: Clear ‘landing zone’ for compromise).

It seems Doug has been at the boys bumper book of metaphors again. According to him we are hovering over an imaginary landing zone. If that wasn’t bad enough somebody has got hold of an artificial gun as well. There’s also a unionist pie on the go now too but it has to be sliced up so everybody gets a wee bit. He wants compromise to land on the landing zone but he won’t compromise with other unionist parties if there is a December election.
