Police have thanked the public for helping locate missing 14-year-old Ruby Washington-Powell.

The teenager had gone missing from the Village area of Belfast, on Tuesday night.

“We are pleased to say that missing person Ruby Washington-Powell has been located safe and well.

“Thank you to everyone who shared the post and those who contacted us with information”.

Earlier in a Facebook post the PSNI described her as being of medium build and 5 foot 6 inches in height with long blonde hair.

The post said: “It is unknown what she is wearing.

“If you have any information as to the whereabouts of her then please contact us on the non-emergency number 101 and quote reference number 1781 of 21/04/20.

Thank you”.
