Video: Molloy retains Mid Ulster seat and takes swipe at ousted Willie McCrea
Sinn Fein’s Francie Molloy comfortably retained the Mid Ulster seat in the Westminster election in the early hours of Friday morning.
Mr Molloy polled 19,935, Sandra Overend [UUP] 6,318, Ian McCrea [DUP] 5,465, Malachy Quinn [SDLP] 5,055, Gareth Ferguson [TUV] 1,892, Alan Day [UKIP] 863, Eric Bullick [Alliance] 778, Hugh Scullion [Worker’s Party] 496, Lucille Nicholson [Conservative] 120.
In his speech, Mr Molloy took a swipe at former Mid Ulster MP Rev. Willie McCrea who was defeated in south Antrim.
