Larne are believed to have snapped up Ballymena United defender Kofi Balmer.

It is understood the 20-year-old, who is currently out injured, has signed a pre-contract to join the Inver Park club in the summer.

Balmer, a Northern Ireland Under-21 international, is the third player to leave the Ballymena Showgrounds for Larne following his former team-mates, Albert Watson and Johnny McMurray.

He had become an integral part of the Sky Blues squad under David Jeffrey in recent years and his departure would be a massive blow for the Showgrounds outfit.
