OLYMPIC GOLF: Leona Maguire finishes with a 69 on final day
The Cavan native enjoyed two under-par rounds in the four-day competition as she posted a 69 today to go with her incredible 65 on Thursday.
The amateur world number one will rue her other two round as she posted two three-over 74s on Wednesday and Friday to effectively rule her out of medal contention.

Hide AdMaguire raced out of the blocks, trying to make an impression on the final day, as she birdied the third, fourth and sixth holes to get to three under par.
But again, the back nine got the better of the Slieve Russell golfer as she dropped shots on the 12th and 17th holes.
Maguire, however, finished her round, and her Rio Games, with a birdie on the par-five 18th to post two under for the tournament.
Jordanstown golfer Stephanie Meadow finished her Games with a one-over-par 72 to post three over for the tournament and currently lies in a share of 31st place.
South Korea’s Park ended five shots clear to take the gold medal, while New Zealand’s Lydia Ko took silver, one shot clear of Shanshan Feng from China who posted ten under.
