Dave Johns to perform standup show at Belfast's Limelight

The Limelight in Belfast will present a performance by actor and standup comedian Dave Johns – most prominently known as the star of left-wing director Ken Loach’s film about the cruelty of the benefits system, I, Daniel Blake, for which he put in a stellar performance as a man struggling against a cruel bureaucratic system that left him in dire poverty before an untimely death.

Johns will perform A Comic’s Tale at Belfast’s Limelight 2 on January 29, 2023 with tickets for the show going on today (Friday) at noon from Ticketmaster outlets.

The star has spend well over half his life as a much-loved stand-up comic. Just a man, a mic, and funny stuff to say.

iNewspaper cooed: “A delight to watch...like someone telling you a joke over the kitchen table” while TheWeeReview.com said Johns was “extremely engaging and constantly hilarious.”
