Police are appealing for information following the report of a fire at vacant premises on the Holywood Road, Belfast last night.

Police received a report around 8.55pm that the building was on fire and the NIFRS were in attendance.

A PSNI spokesman said the fire, which is being treated as deliberate, destroyed the building.

Sergeant Anne McCourt has appealed to anyone who has any information which may assist with enquiries to contact Police at Strandtown PSNI Station, on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1383 09/05/17. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
