Robert James Morrow (51) of Bracky Road, Sixmilecross, County Tyrone, BT79 9PH was today fined the sum at Dungannon Crown Court on three charges of breaching waste management legislation.

On April 30, 2014, Northern Ireland Environment Agency officers investigated a site, partially owned by and under the control of Mr Morrow, at 84-86 Bracky Road, Sixmilecross.

They found a “substantial area” of the property and surrounding area being used as “an unauthorised treatment and storage facility for more than 700 end of life vehicles” (with second hand vehicle parts stored at various locations).

The site did not have a waste management licence or a licence to operate as an authorised treatment facility for end of life vehicles.

Morrow had been previously convicted in 2008, and 2010, for similar waste offences at the same location.
