Funeral of road crash victim Rocky Rafferty

The funeral of tragic father-of-four Shane (Rocky) Rafferty is set to take place this morning in Galbally, near Dungannon in Co Tyrone.

The 41-year-old died after a single-vehicle collision on the Tullyvar Road outside Aughnacloy at around 8.30pm on Saturday.

Requiem Mass for Mr Rafferty will be held in Church of St John the Baptist in Galbally at 11am.

Mr Rafferty is survived by his children Ciaran, Shauna, Kevin, PJ, mother Briege, brothers and wider family circle.

He will be buried after the service in the adjoining churchyard.

This was the second tragedy to hit the Rafferty family as eight years ago Mr Rafferty’s father – John – was killed in another road traffic collision.
