Although police did not reveal the results (or why they had believed foul play may have been a factor in the first place) they said at 12.30pm on Friday that they “are no longer treating the death of Frank Bratley as suspicious”.

The 85-year-old is understood to have been an English widower, who had lived in the town for around two decades.
