Men in court charged with 13 burglaries in south Armagh

Two men are expected to appear in Newry magistrates court this morning charged in relation to 13 burglaries.

The men - aged 24-years and 42-years - were arrested in Newry on February 9 by Detectives from Reactive and Organised Crime.

The men were charged in relation to burglaries which took place between July and September 2015 in Newry, Jonesborough, Forkhill, Killeavy, Warrenpoint, Silverbridge and Keady.

They were further charged in relation to an aggravated burglary in Keady on January 30, 2016 and a burglary in Mullaghbawn on the same date.

The 42-year-old man was also charged with theft in relation to an incident in Crossmaglen on September 22, 2015.

As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
