These will include depictions of the role of civilians and non-combatants, services, and women, and the contribution of the Commonwealth.

The Battle of the Somme and the Battle of Jutland will both be marked with stamp images, alongside stamps featuring a portrait of munitions worker, Charlotte ‘Lottie’ Meade, and ‘Battlefield Poppy’ by Giles Revell.

Four stamps will also be issued to commemorate the contribution of the Post Office Rifles to the war effort.

The stamps are now on sale online and at Post Office branches.
