Complaint from SF MLA is rich

Re the article by Sam McBride published ('˜Nasty C of I cleric under fire from MLA who liked Foster abuse post,' May 21) pertaining to Jemma Dolan MLA:

Following the farcical controversy and castigation contrived by Sinn Fein in response to Arlene Foster’s description of Michelle O’Neill as ‘blonde’ it appears the words ‘sexist’ and ‘outrageous’ are just a few of its new buzz words.

Jemma Dolan, a Sinn Fein MLA who is not averse to controversy, now has the audacity to condemn Canon Watson for allegedly making ‘sexist and outrageous’ remarks and demands that Arlene Foster and Tom Elliott disassociate themselves, despite the latter not being present.

What gives this MLA the right to make insidious judgements and demands of others?

The canon may have a fair point. Fortunately, for Jemma Dolan she was not born when hundreds in Fermanagh were being bombed, shot, murdered and forced to flee their homes by SF/IRA.

Perhaps that is something she should be reflecting on rather than attempting to score petty points.

It is rich coming from a politician who weeks prior to the Assembly Elections endorsed a Facebook comment “F--k Arlene Foster and down with the DUP”.

I call that demeaning, disrespectful and juvenile.
