Meeting on Thursday night about protecting the unborn in Northern Ireland

With the election almost upon us, it is important that all our politicians receive a clear pro-life message enabling electors to support only those who will maintain legal protection for the child in the womb.

In the previous assembly there was an attempt by David Ford of Alliance to open the door towards abortion in Northern Ireland.

There will be a seminar on the Abortion Threat to Northern Ireland to be held for the greater Belfast area in Ballyearl Arts & Leisure Centre, 585 Doagh Road Mossley, Newtownabbey, BT36 5RZ at 7pm tomorrow evening (Thursday February 23).

All are welcome and literature will be available.

The meeting under the auspices of the Society for the Protection of the Unborn Child will be addressed by the chief executive, John Smeaton from London and the international director, Maria Madise.

For many citizens here God’s word is clear and says ‘Thou shalt not kill’ (Exodus 20 v 13, Matthew 5 v 21 and Romans 13 v 9).

Puritan divine and writer, Thomas Boston put it well: “Though God guides and governs the world, they are malcontents, that are not pleased with the government, but mutiny against it. What pleased God, pleases not them; what is right in God’s eyes, is evil in theirs.

“And nothing will please them, but to have the reins of government out of God’s hands into their own.”
