Partition war if Ireland joined WW2

With regard to Ben Lowry's article ('˜Irish neutrality towards Hitler was logical, but not admirable,' October 28), personally I was never proud of Irish neutrality towards Hitler.

Perhaps the main reason for neutrality was partition. It seems strange that Mr Lowry didn’t mention it.

If ‘Ireland’ had joined the allied forces there might have been a war over partition when WW2 ended.
