The dark side of '˜Pride'

As Belfast City Council and others supported the LGBT Pride parade, it should be pointed out that on top of the verbal abuse, bottles and coins were thrown at Christians, and a physical assault upon the barrier surrounding us in a failed attempt to hurt those who were holding an open-air witness at the front of the City Hall.

While politicians declare their support for sin there is a dark side that needs to be exposed - the aggressive intolerance of those who seek to deny the right of Christians to proclaim the gospel in the public square.

Had the police not stepped in to ensure peace, we would have suffered the intolerant hatred of LGBT supporters.

It one thing to demand equality it another to ensure freedom for the gospel.
