James Tennyson living the dream as he heads for Ryan Walsh showdown

In the last few hours Tennyson has signed a three fight promotional deal with Queensberry Promotions and Frank Warren and also been told he will fight Ryan Walsh for the British title in the Copper Box in London on April 30.

And Mark Dunlop managed Tennyson - who sparred Carl Frampton in the build-up to ‘The Jackal’s’ IBF and WBA showdown with Scott Quigg - says everything at the minute is going well.

“It is great to get this deal with Frank Warren and Queensbury Promotions and I am looking forward to the future. It just makes all the hardwork and training I have done all seem worth while.

“It is great to get this deal and I can now plan for the future,” he added,

And Tennyson can’t wait to get into action at the Copper Box.

“I watched Walsh beating Darren Traynor to defend his British title and he is a good fighter - but we have spotteded things in his game that we believe we can exploit.

“It is going to be the hardest and toughest fight of my career to date but I want that British title and I will be working flat out in the coming weeks to make sure I am in great condition for the fight.

“My manager Mark Dunlop has done a great job getting me here and I want to keep on winning and moving forward in the coming months.

“This is the time I have to deliver and I am determined to do that.

“And to also fight on the undercard of a World title is fantastic,” he added.
