Irish Ultimate Fighting Championship star Conor McGregor's world lightweight title showdown with Rafael dos Anjos on 5 March has been postponed.

Brazilian title holder Dos Anjos is reported to have suffered a foot injury in training.

Featherweight champion McGregor was aiming to become the first UFC fighter to hold two world titles at the same time.

A UFC spokeswoman refused to comment on the reports on the postponement although it is likely that they are already working on a replacement to fight the Irishman.
