Chris Curran and Joe Gormley lifted the Irish Cup together this evening to end Cliftonville’s 45-year wait for another success in the competition.

A 3-1 victory over Linfield arrived thanks to Sam Ashford’s equaliser to cancel out the early header from Ethan McGee for Linfield – with Ronan Hale firing in an extra-time double as Cliftonville claimed a memorable triumph in front of almost 15,000.

Johnny McNabb was part of the News Letter’s matchday team in Belfast for the big day and he captured footage of the moment Cliftonville finally got to grips with the coveted prize.
