Cardiff Devils claimed their third straight win to stay top of the Elite League table following a 5-3 victory over Belfast Giants.

Ryan Russell, Carl Hudson, Joey Martin, Chris Culligan and Guillaume Doucet claimed a goal apiece for the Devils with Chris Higgins on target with a second-period double and a further strike from Mike Wilson in response for the Giants.

Sheffield Steelers remain two points behind in second after they edged a 5-4 win over Nottingham Panthers, while - a point further back - Braehead Clan recorded their fifth straight win as they shutout Coventry Blaze 3-0.

Mathew Sisca scored a hat-trick and five points, while Matt Paton found the net twice and added two assists in Manchester Storm’s 7-6 win over Edinburgh Capitals that saw them leapfrog the Scottish side at the foot of the table.

Trevor Gerling scored a hat-trick of his own for the Capitals in a losing cause, while Dundee Stars were too strong for Fife Flyers, claiming a 5-3 win.
