Queen Bey announced date at Dublin's Croke Park

Superstar singer Beyonce, who this week wowed during half-time at the Super Bowl alongside Coldplay's Chris Martin, has announced details of The Formation world tour which will see her perform at Dublin's Croke Park on Saturday July 9.

Although the former Destiny’s Child star has not confirmed a Belfast date for her Ulster fans, crowds will be certainly heading to Dublin to see the pop powerhouse in action, with tickets for the July gig going on sale from Monday (February 15) via Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.

Beyonce’s Formation World Tour, promoted by Live Nation and presented by American Express and produced by Parkwood Entertainment, kicks off in the US on April 27 in Miami before arriving in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, Dallas and more, with European dates beginning on June 28 in Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, before travelling to Dublin’s Croke Park on July 9 and then arriving in London, Manchester, Zurich, Amsterdam, Paris, Milan, Stockholm, Frankfurt and other venues.

The Formation World Tour is Beyonce’s first solo tour since her ambitious Mrs Carter Show World Tour in 2013. The sold-out tour spanning two years and five continents thrilled nearly two million fans and was hailed by critics worldwide. During the summer of 2014, Beyonce and husband Jay Z launched the six-week On The Run Tour, playing major stadiums in the US. They ended the tour in Paris in September 2014 with two additional dates that were filmed for a HBO Special that was nominated for an Emmy Award.
