Belfast Children’s Festival is spreading festive cheer this year with a special selection of enchanting family performances. Curated by Young at Art, the Festival team has created two unique gift packages—each wrapped up with a bright orange bow- giving families the perfect way to share the magic of the season and look forward to enjoying the performances during Belfast Children’s Festival (6–15 March 2026).

‘The Little Prince’ is an ode to the power of imagination and friendship, which tells the story of the Little Prince as he wanders the universe in search of the true meaning of friendship. Full of magic and entertaining for children and adults alike, The Little Prince is a great adventure to enjoy, make friends, learn things, and notice the most important things in life. ‘The Little Prince’ gift package will contain a copy of the Little Prince storybook and tickets for a family of four to see the show during the Festival. Christmas is the season for kindness and love, and Young at Art has wrapped up the beautiful ‘Be Kind,’ an intimate circus theatre experience for babies aged 6-18 months. In this sensory performance of sound, colour and movement, two circus artists take you on a sensory journey, and little ones are introduced to acrobatics and juggling from very close by. After the performance, the artists invite the little ones to explore the stage together. The ‘Be Kind’ gift package includes a sensory toy and a ticket for two adults and a baby to see the show during the Festival. To purchase https://youngatart.co.uk/events/be-kind/

“We’re delighted to offer Belfast Children’s Festival as a special gift for families during the festive season, with two stunning shows taking place in the city this March as part of the 2026 Festival. Bringing together the timeless charm of The Little Prince, the delightful Be Kind for babies, is a wonderful way to give families the joy of shared stories and time together.” says, Eibhlín de Barra, Director of Young At Art.

“The 2026 Festival has a wonderful rich focus and will bring together diverse programming including Irish premieres and brand-new performance work. We are looking forward to featuring performances from local, GB and European artists to entertain, surprise and delight, alongside many free events and workshops allowing as many children of all ages, including those with additional support needs, and their grownups as possible to take part in the Festival,” Eibhlín added.

Now in its 28th year, the biggest children’s festival in Ireland and the UK* will run from 6-15 March 2026, with a focus on fun, inclusivity, diversity and sustainability, over 100 events and performances are planned over the 10 days.
