Cinemagic goes virtual next month

The 31st Cinemagic International Film Festival for Young People will present a month-long programme of unmissable online opportunities for children, families, young adults and young filmmakers throughout October.

The Festival will offer a small series of in-cinema film screenings in support of #BackToCinemaNI to encourage audiences back to the ‘big screen’ experience in a safe and informed way.

The 2020 Cinemagic Belfast Festival line-up includes exciting virtual events with Saoirse Ronan, Mark Kermode, Dermot O’Leary, Mark Gatiss, Anna Smith, Oliver Jeffers, Robin Shaw, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, BAFTA, Aardman Animations and many more Film and TV luminaries.

Festival goers will have the chance to participate in an extensive range of online activities from viewing new World Cinema, to Industry masterclasses, a ‘Talking Pictures’ strand with screenings and filmmaker Q&As, Cinemagic Young Filmmaker and Film Jury panels for young film critics. An international programme of new feature films will be accessible from Cinemagic’s new digital streaming platform and 23 feature films and eight short film packages will be available for children, families and young film fans to enjoy throughout October.

The programme also includes a number of exciting Q&As, talks and webinars with esteemed industry leaders.
