Drive-in Cinema

Families across Northern Ireland will have the opportunity to enjoy an exclusive weekend of cinematic entertainment from Friday August 28 to Sunday August 30, and all for a good cause.

Northern Ireland Hospice & Children’s Hospice has partnered with Downeys Kia, Newtownwards to host a drive-In cinema. The cinema experience will be located in the car dealership forecourt in Newtownards.

The drive-In cinema will feature family-favourite movies, including Toy Story 3, Frozen 2, and Trolls, plus two additional movies for older viewers; Pitch Perfect 2 and Avengers End Game.

David McCulla, Director at Downing’s Kia and Sixt Rentacar, said: “We are huge advocates of Hospice, and the incredible work they do, they continued to provide their vital care services for our local community despite the pandemic.”

Lauren Doherty, Head of Marketing at Northern Ireland Hospice, added: “We look forward to welcoming cinema goers over the three-day Bank Holiday weekend in August. Besides films, there will also be food and snacks available, and a raffle with some incredible prizes up for grabs. People can sit back, relax and enjoy the movies and still raise money for a good cause!”
