We can all agree that 2020 has been a bit bleak.

However, Gordon Ramsay, Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix have stayed in touch with each other throughout the year, and are now keen to it with a bang.

“I talk to them once a week just to make sure they are okay,” Gino told The One Show in September.

“I’ve seen Gordon in about June time and Fred was in February because we were filming together in Italy, but we always did Zoom calls and stay in touch because we’re now gonna go off to do the Christmas special.

“That makes me very happy.”

Despite their constant bickering and banter, the three stars clearly love being in each other’s company.

“We are lucky to have an incredible bond and share a great motto, ‘Work hard, play harder!’” Gordon said before last year’s show.

“Although don’t get me wrong, it is like having two more young sons, what with Fred’s moods and Gino’s games!”

Gino added: “It’s always amazing being back filming with the boys because it’s not work really, it’s getting three friends together, it doesn’t really matter where we are, it’s always great fun. It’s just ‘fantastico’, as we say in Italian.”

And Fred agrees: “The thing about us travelling together is we love food and drink and people open up their restaurants and farms and houses for us,” he said.

“We are very different characters and yet we love and enjoy each other’s company, which is quite unique, and I don’t think I could do this trip with any other people.

You may recall that Family Fortunes host Gino led his pals to the deserts of Morocco for their misadventure last year.

But this time, Gordon is determined that they celebrate the season properly.

For Gordon, Gino and Fred: Desperately Seeking Santa, the Scots superchef has arranged for them to take a trip to the ultimate winder wonderland destination and home of Santa – Lapland.

The trio will travel around in their trusty RV to experience what ITV is calling a “treasure trove of festive fare”.

When they meet Father Christmas, Gino has a letter from his daughter Mia that he needs to hand deliver.

First Dates’ Fred, meanwhile, is eager to witness the Northern Lights in person, while Gordon wants the three of them to encounter one of Lapland’s top culinary delights – reindeer meat.

Gordon says it is one of the healthiest meats you can eat and the trio enjoy it served with buttery mashed potatoes.

They also get to experience a not-so-traditional Christmas feast with the indigenous Sami people, who have herded reindeer for centuries.

Gain a better understanding of why these creatures make such good meat, Gordon, Gino and Fred get to help them with the herding.

And it wouldn’t be a Gordon, Gino & Fred Road Trip unless they got ‘snowballs deep’ in everything this country has to offer.
