50-70 Banty hens stolen from field

Between 50 and 70 Banty hens have been stolen from a field in Co Armagh.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the report of the theft from the field on the Drumilly Road in the Loughgall area.

Constable McKenna said: “It was reported that between Thursday 10th November and Tuesday 15th November, 50-70 Banty hens were stolen from a field on the Drumilly Road in the Loughgall area. These Banty hens would vary in colour such as, white, grey, orange and red.

“We are appealing to anyone with any information or to anyone that may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area or to anyone that may have been offered similar items for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact Armagh Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 919 on 15/11/16. Or, alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
