The judge was impressed by her “tremendous top line, strong centre ligament and good locomotion”.
For his second qualifier, Mr Hunter chose Ardmore Miranda 2 EX91 from the Ayrshire herd of John and Michael Hunter, Crumlin. Now a third calver, Miranda achieved 9,000 litres at 4.5% BF and 3.4% Protein in her last lactation. She was reserve champion at the 2014 RUAS Winter Fair and reserve champion at Ballymena Show this year.
The judge said she was “a very stylish dairy cow with open ribs and good dairy character”.
