The companies have been trailblazers in the medical tech market for over 10 years and their latest product is set to solidify their market share.

Having exported the product to over 50 countries, and worked together on the design and production of the original Haemoband product, the two companies are very confident of building on their impressive sales of 380,000 units.

The product is manufactured in Denroy’s new state of the art clean room which was built following a £3m investment in 2015.

The Haemoband Plus is a new and innovative medical device created for the clinical treatment of haemorrhoids. The new device combines the tried and tested rubber band ligation (RBL) technique with an innovative applicator design, which offers improved clinical treatment and a more efficient and cost effective method of application and patient care.

Unlike the original Haemoband product, the new product is comprised of individually moulded bands, a transparent nozzle and a unique trigger ‘step line’ guiding the user throughout its application.

The original concept was conceived by Fermanagh based Essam Ghareeb and Belfast Born Colin Foster in 2005.

Mr Ghareeb’s profession as a lower gastrointestinal surgeon, and Mr Foster’s experiences in the medical marketplace (and in bringing products to a global market), led to the design, development and launch of Haemoband, the first automatic multi-action, pre-loaded, disposable ligator onto the global market.
