Michael Boyd, chair of Belfast Healthy Cities, said: "This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic leader who will have a unique chance to steer the organisation into the next phase of its journey.

"Belfast, with its long-standing association with the WHO European Healthy Cities Network since 1988, seeks an individual who can seamlessly blend the long-term vision with immediate action. The prospective Chief Executive will be well-versed with the political and administrative tapestry of Northern Ireland, equipped to build and nurture relationships at all levels, aimed at ushering in an era of universal health and well-being for the city."

The new chief executive will be at the helm of the organisation, which has worked tirelessly over three decades to integrate WHO's Healthy City prerequisites within Belfast.

Michael continued: "We are on the lookout for someone who not only safeguards Belfast's esteemed position in the WHO Network but also champions its varied programs and initiatives locally. The role promises a platform to bridge WHO and Network members' expertise with city stakeholders."
