Bookmakers disapponited at union strike call
As the dispute with Unite continues, the firm said its proposal would take pay rates beyond the £7.20 per hour set out by Government and would apply to all staff from January 1, including those aged under 25.

A statement issued on behalf of the company said that despite claims by Unite, less than 25% of staff were behind the idea of “costly and damaging” strike action planned for one of the lucraive events of the year.
“Despite this offer taking our employees well beyond the pay levels associated with our sector, Sean Graham’s bookmakers continues to be singled out by Unite.
“We will endeavour to ensure as many of our shops are open for business as possible and we look forward to welcoming our customers on one of the biggest days in the race calendar.
